Veterani 80-tih odlučili su snimiti novi album i vratit se na glazbenu scenu.

Duran Duran su se zatvorili su studio i s producentom Markom Ronsonom rade na novom glazbenom projektu.
Klavijaturist skupine Nick Rhodes je izjavio da će novi album biti dovršen do kraja godine, te da bi trebao izaći početkom 2011.
Bend snima album s novim gitaristom Domom Brownom, koji je zamijenio originalnog Duranovca Andyja Taylora. Andy je napustio bend 2007. tijekom snimanja njihovog posljednjeg studijskog albuma Red Carpet Massacre.
Radni naslov novog albuma Duran Duran je King Of Nowhere, a bend najavljuje povratak zvuku iz 80.-tih godina prošlog stoljeća.
